This position is for IQM's Paris office.

What will I be doing?

  • You will be working on a project aiming at finding new algorithms for detecting anomalous behaviour in industry provided datasets, a relevant problem for cybersecurity use cases.
  • You will be analysing the performance of these algorithms on IQM quantum hardware.
  • You will be applying error mitigation techniques and explore noise robustness of these algorithms.

What skills do I need?

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor degree in theoretical physics, computer science, mathematics or similar field or engineering schools.
  • Knowledge of quantum mechanics and quantum computing (e.g. in the context of ongoing master studies).
  • Experience in developing code (Python and quantum software libraries, as well as code management tools e.g. Git, Github/Gitlab).

Nice-to-have Skills:

  • Experience in running quantum algorithms on quantum hardware.
  • Knowledge of classical algorithms for machine learning (e.g. Kernel-based methods, Boltzmann machines).
