What will you do every day?

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, automating tests using Cypress, Playwright, and Selenium. Perform API testing with Postman, and track bugs in Jira. Collaborating with developers, you'll validate fixes, support CI/CD pipelines, participate in agile ceremonies, and mentor junior QA engineers.

Ok, you're sold, but what are we looking for in the perfect candidate?

The perfect candidate will demonstrate complete proficiency in ensuring software quality through manual and automated testing, with the ability to execute end-to-end QA processes for efficient releases and ongoing support. This includes:

• Test Planning & Execution: Design and execute complex test cases, while developing comprehensive test plans to ensure feature functionality and product quality.

• Test Automation: Create, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Cypress, Playwright, and Selenium frameworks.

• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers to troubleshoot issues, validate fixes, and ensure seamless integration of new features.

• Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews, providing valuable feedback on testability and potential quality risks.

• Mentorship: Mentor junior QA engineers, offering technical guidance and promoting best practices in testing and automation.

• Agile Contribution: Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to support efficient project delivery.

Requirements*

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in manual and automation testing, with at least 1 to 2 years focused on automation testing.

3. Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.

4. Experience with industry-standard automation tools like Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, or Playwright.

5. Strong knowledge of API testing tools, including Postman and Karate.

6. Familiarity with popular automation frameworks like Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, and Mocha.

7. Hands-on experience with version control and continuous integration tools, such as Git and Jenkins.

8. Proficient in using project and defect management tools like Jira.

9. Basic understanding of Unix commands for troubleshooting and system navigation.

* Requirements is such a strong word. We don’t necessarily expect to find a candidate that has done everything listed, but you should be able to make a credible case that you’ve done most of it and are ready for the challenge of adding some new things to your resume.
