The role

As a Project Information Security Consultant – Industrial Security, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining Helsing´s military-grade security posture throughout the lifecycle of our projects and products. From secure development to cyber protection, you will ensure the seamless integration of security standards across all programs. This is a critical position in a fast-growing organization that prioritizes excellence in security. 

You will directly support the Director of Industrial Security DE / CSO, working on cutting-edge security solutions that protect both operational and strategic interests. 

The day-to-day

  • Industrial Security Standards: Collaborate with the Director of Industrial Security to define and implement security protocols in line with industrial and military requirements. 
  • Project Security Concepts: Develop and execute comprehensive project security concepts aligned with with standards like VS-NfD Merkblatt, ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz and NATO PSIs. 
  • Programme Security Support: Advise and guide Helsing´s Programme Managers on security aspects across various projects.
  • Security Enablement: Assist Helsing´s Security Engineering team in delivering security awareness training, implementing secure coding practices, and supporting secure product development. 
  • Technical Support: Provide expertise to the Technology and Engineering departments to optimize IT and software development environments, including tools like GitLab for secure code repositories and build pipelines.Helping maintain an understanding of the threats and risks including maintaining project risk and controls registers.
  • Threat and Risk Management: Monitor and assess current and emerging threat vectors, while maintaining a robust project risk and controls register. 

You should apply if you

  • Have a strong background in information security and industrial systems. Demonstrate hands-on experience with Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and applying security controls aligned with ISO 27001, NATO PSIs or BSI-IT-Grundschutz. 
  • Are experienced in designing, writing and implementing IT security concepts.  
  • Are comfortable in conducting Risk assessment and Control Assessments. 
  • Have a proven track record in conducting risk and control assessments.  
  • Understand the evolving landscape of cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities. 
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of physical security and personnel protection measures. 
  • Possess exceptional communication skills, enabling effective engagement across all organizational levels, including delivering concise and impactful briefings to executive leadership and the C-Suite. 
  • Have critical thinking and analytical skills and are able to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

Nice to Have

  • Experience in designing cybersecurity polices and controls. 
  • Experience in dealing with APT or state actor threats. 
  • Experience or interest in the Defence sector. 
  • Experience working in technical national security environments.
