We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Production Planner to coordinate and optimize our manufacturing processes. This role is critical in ensuring smooth workflow from kitting through final assembly while maintaining lean production principles. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and communication skills, and a mindset oriented toward continuous improvement and leadership growth. This position is designed as a potential stepping stone into production management.
Develop, monitor, and adjust production schedules to meet delivery targets and maximize throughput.
Translate the Bill of Materials (BOM) into kitting and sub-assembly plans aligned with lean manufacturing workflows.
Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of materials and kits.
Coordinate daily and weekly production plans with assembly leads and workstations.
Identify and mitigate bottlenecks in the workflow using data-driven tools (e.g., takt time analysis, Heijunka boards).
Monitor WIP (work-in-progress) and finished goods to maintain balanced output and resource allocation.
Support implementation of lean tools such as Kanban systems, standard work, and Andon boards.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including schedule adherence, cycle time, and inventory turnover.
Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis).
Document and refine planning procedures to improve repeatability and scalability.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing coordination, or related roles.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling tools.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel or similar data tools.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., Kanban, standard work, takt time).
Adaptability & Mobility: Thrives under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; embraces a “no-task-is-too-small” mentality. Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules (evenings/weekends as needed).
Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of leading diverse principals – from junior members to senior executives.
