As the Product Manager – AI Products at Optus, you’ll be at the forefront of our digital transformation, driving the development of innovative AI-powered across our Voice Experience and Operations squad that take our customer journey from best to obsessed. You’ll lead the strategic execution of key initiatives across service and sales, championing seamless, intuitive, and customer-centric solutions with our Voice platform partner. Working within our high-performing Digital Hubs and agile squads, you’ll shape and prioritise the AI product roadmap, collaborate cross-functionally, and help position Optus as a true leader in digital innovation

Your day to day will consist of...  

  • Help shape and evolve the Digital AI strategy for our Voice Experience and Operations squad by translating business goals into a clear, actionable roadmap with defined KPIs and measurable outcomes.

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI-driven initiatives, from building strong business cases to execution through agile squads, ensuring alignment across marketing, sales, service, IT, and commercial teams.

  • Champion new digital capabilities that enhance customer experience and boost productivity—transforming ideas into tangible products that can scale across the business.

  • Identify opportunities to extend digital capabilities across all customer touchpoints and collaborate with product and channel teams to embed omni-channel experiences into future roadmaps.

  • Drive a culture of innovation by continuously exploring and delivering best-in-class digital solutions for our customers.

  • Build and manage relationships with vendors in your portfolio, ensuring they’re delivering value and aligned to our broader digital objectives

What makes you perfect for the role?  

  • Proven experience in digital product management, supported by tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry expertise.

  • Solid understanding of digital ecosystems, including web and mobile app environments, with a focus on self-service technologies and customer-first solutions.

  • Experience across Voice and or Messaging platform/channel operations will be highly regarded (ie; NICE CXOne, LivePerson etc…)

  • Strong commercial mindset with a track record of driving ROI through innovative digital capabilities and service strategies.

  • Confident juggling multiple priorities in fast-paced environments, with the ability to think creatively and solve problems under pressure.

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence, present, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation.

  • Highly detail-oriented, accountable, and motivated, with a flexible, team-first mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
