About the Role: 

We're seeking a talented Product Manager - AI Assistant to lead the ongoing development of Companion, our private, locally-run AI assistant. Companion is a window into a world of AI capabilities with a human-centric focus. From hyper-productivity to agentic AI and the future of ambient intelligence, you'll shape how a wide variety of users (business, prosumer, consumer) interact with state-of-the-art AI solutions, managing the transition to context-aware systems and new HCI patterns like AR, VUI, XR, and more. This role requires up to 25% travel for client site visits and stakeholder meetings. Key Responsibilities: 

• Own the product roadmap and vision for our private AI assistant, balancing technical constraints with market needs 
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and research teams to create intuitive user experiences
• Gather and analyze user feedback to drive product improvements 
• Define key performance metrics and success criteria 
• Prioritize features that enhance privacy while maintaining performance
• Stay current on AI assistant trends, the competitive landscape, and technological advancements
• Advocate for user needs throughout the development process 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

• 4+ years of product management experience for consumer-facing applications
• Proven track record of shipping successful consumer products with excellent user experiences
• Experience with AI/ML products 
• Understanding of privacy considerations in consumer technology 
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making 
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities 
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into user benefits 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with on-device AI or edge computing technologies 
• Background in voice interfaces, chatbots, or virtual assistants 
• Knowledge of local-first architecture and privacy-preserving technologies 
• Understanding of hardware constraints for AI applications 
• Experience with user research and usability testing
