About Skin Analytics
Skin Analytics is an award-winning, health tech company that works with dermatology teams to deploy world-leading skin cancer pathways using AI as a medical device, DERM.

Following our recent £15M series B funding round and regulatory milestones, we're ready to scale internationally, making history for AI in healthcare and the future of dermatology.

We're proud to epitomise AI for good - with a Class III CE mark, DERM is the only AI as a medical device approved to make clinical decisions autonomously in the cancer space, as well as being the first company to receive a NICE recommendation for use across the NHS.*

DERM is deployed at more than 25 NHS organisations where we're supporting dermatology teams to build sustainable services that enable patients to gain quicker access to skin cancer diagnosis. If that's not enough, we also collaborate with some of the largest health insurers to reach patients in their own homes.

We are a team of passionate people on a mission to build a future where no one dies from skin cancer.

The role
We are looking to hire an entrepreneurial product manager, who thrives in ambiguity and can build new products that achieve great outcomes from scratch. You need to have experience building Medical Devices with an AI or innovative Software element to be successful in this role. If you can work from first principles, and are excellent at stakeholder engagement and management (incl. AI, Regulatory, Clinical & Design) this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Product discovery: defining and validating product assumptions that fit within the regulatory landscape we operate in
  • Ensure that the product you are responsible for is valuable, viable, usable and feasible.
  • Collaborate with AI, Clinical and Regulatory teams to shape an innovative but realistic roadmap
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Design teams to create intuitive solutions, that keep human factors in mind
  • Set clear, achievable milestones and guide the team through international regulatory submissions from a product perspective
  • Hold stakeholders accountable to the results
  • General data analytics to make sound product decisions

Requirements

Skills:

  • End to end experience building, delivering and maintaining medical devices with an innovative software element
  • Deep knowledge of how AI products are built - you don’t need to be an ML Scientist, but you do need to understand dependencies with product development
  • Strong experience working on front end, intuitive products in collaboration with designers
  • Proven experience in medical devices, including familiarity with ISO 14971
  • Proven experience of holding delivery teams  accountable
  • Experience with the usability engineering process, including human factors studies, is desirable
  • Ability to work at pace & push the boundaries in ways of working, as medical devices are often developed using a more waterfall than agile approach.

Behaviours required:

  • First principles thinking - you like to dive deep and come up with novel solutions
  • Natural problem solver - the more complex, the better
  • Unafraid to challenge the status quo
  • Excellent communicator - engaging, to the point, precise and decisive
