Responsibilities
- Ensure the success of a portfolio of Artificial Intelligence products
- Collaborate with many cross-functional teams within JSI to drive customer satisfaction and product success
- Set and communicate product and roadmap priorities based on customer feedback and business objectives
- Attend backlog grooming meetings and provide feedback and insight on new feature proposals
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to influence buy, build, or partner decisions
Knowledge and Experience
Required Qualifications:
- University degree or College Diploma in computer science, engineering, information systems, or relevant job experience.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a software, product, or customer-facing role.
- Must have very strong presentation and communication skills: whether you are presenting to a room of 100 people that have never heard of JSI before, or sharing information with a small group of internal staff, being an effective storyteller is instrumental to this role
- Must have a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and familiarity with Agile development practices
- Must be able to take a data-driven approach to decision-making, and identify critical metrics to track and optimize
- Must be passionate about effectively solving customer problems: JSI products are used every day to help make the world a safer place - your efforts will directly contribute to these outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Product Management role is considered an strong asset
- Previous experience in managing a new product from conception to launch (0-1) is an asset
- Technical skills are desirable. For example, the ability to write a quick Python script to trial models or APIs can be useful during discovery activities.
Personal Attributes
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks
- Background knowledge, formal education, or a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence is highly desirable. Having a strong appreciation for both the potential and challenges of working with Artificial Intelligence is critical.
- Loves to be a part of a team. Generous in giving credit and praise to the team for successes, while readily accepting accountability for challenges and setbacks. Able to collaborate with team members as a respectful leader.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Ability to give thoughtful, constructive feedback
Work Conditions
- Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines or coordinate with international parties.

- Ability to attain and maintain a top-secret security clearance.
How We Work
- You will be expected to work in a remote/hybrid environment reporting to our Kanata, Ontario location 2 or more times per week.
