Job Purpose:
The Product Development Coordinator is responsible for creating intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces, coordinating product strategy and innovation. This role requires a creative thinker with skills in designing wireframes, developing prototypes, and bringing ideas to life through effective collaboration. The Product Development Coordinator will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement user-centered design solutions that align with business objectives and provide a seamless user experience.

Specific Deliverables / Responsibilities:

• Creative Product Development: Conceive and conceptualize new product features, workflows, and processes that enhance the user experience and meet business objectives.
• User-Centered Design: Conduct user research, analyze feedback, and create designs that solve user challenges and meet client requirements.
• Design Implementation Oversight: Collaborate with software development teams to ensure design quality and consistency throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to launch.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering and marketing teams to align on product goals, prioritize features, and deliver cohesive design solutions.
• Project Planning: Develop project plans, create user stories, and track project progress to ensure timely completion.
• Wireframing & Prototyping: Develop wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes in Figma, transforming concepts into detailed, interactive models.
• Process Improvement: Support and improve design processes, ensuring effective communication and smooth project flow.

Functional Requirements:

• Creative and Analytical Skills: Strong creative skills with an analytical mindset to translate design challenges into user-friendly interfaces.
• UX/UI Proficiency: Solid understanding of UX/UI principles, experience designing for web and mobile platforms, and familiarity with tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Software Development Knowledge: Basic understanding of software development processes to enable effective collaboration with engineering teams.
• Project Management Familiarity: Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, or Trello is a plus for project tracking and coordination.
• User Research & Testing: Knowledge of user research methodologies and usability testing to inform design decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in product design or a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for presenting ideas and solutions clearly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Application Knowledge:

• Figma, InVision: For wireframing, prototyping, and collaborative design work.
• Optimal Workshop / Hotjar: For user research, tree testing, heatmaps, and understanding user feedback/interactions.
• Miro: For brainstorming, mapping user flows, and visualizing ideas.
