The Procurement Team owns Akamai's end-to-end supply-chain process. We establish and maintain stakeholder relationships internally and externally. We manage our suppliers to best optimize our investments and supply base. Through effective sourcing and negotiation, we constantly enable and deliver value capture (cost-saving/avoidance).

Associated with the Global Procurement Team, you will be part of all our strategic initiatives. You will also support and scale-up the new Procurement hub model. This will have significant support & visibility to the Category and Executive leadership.

As a Procurement Specialist II, you will be responsible for:

• Leading, Coordinating and executing strategic sourcing activities in line with the category strategy
• Supporting Category Director in the development and implementation of category strategy for Asia region
• Managing existing and upcoming sourcing/negotiating opportunities proactively
• Developing market intelligence to support effective decision-making on alternate supplier base and effective sourcing
• Managing Supplier diversity Identify and establish supplier relationship and steer mutual value program
• Recommending process optimizations/standardization to ensure internal controls

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have any Bachelor's with 6 years' relevant experience
• Have experience in creating purchase requisitions, purchase orders, change orders.
• Have knowledge of how receiving is done in ERP systems Oracle experience
• Possess good analytical/logical skills
• Demonstrate expertise using excel/google sheet/ppt etc.
