Role Overview

We are looking for a Process Engineer – AI & Automation (Payments) to join our AI Centre of Excellence team. This role is pivotal in helping our payments business process owners identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency—whether through AI, automation, or smart redesign of manual workflows. You’ll be a key player in shaping how we modernize and scale our payments operations.

What you will do

• Partner with payments business process owners to map and analyse current workflows, identifying inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement process enhancements using AI, RPA, and other automation technologies.
• Evaluate manual processes and recommend optimisations—whether through automation or simplification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineer, AI engineers, and Technology to prototype and deploy solutions.
• · Build business cases for proposed changes, including ROI analysis and risk assessments.
• Track and report on the impact of implemented improvements, ensuring continuous iteration and learning.
• Stay up to date with the latest in AI, automation, and process engineering trends—bringing fresh ideas to the table.

Who you are

• An analytical problem solver with high attention to detail.
• A process-minded problem solver with a passion for operational excellence and emerging technologies.
• You’re outcome-driven, with a talent for identifying quick wins as well as long-term improvements.
• You hold a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• You have 3+ years of experience in process engineering, business analysis, or operations—ideally within payments or financial services.
• You’re comfortable with tools like Lucid for process mapping, and have hands-on experience with automation platforms.
• You understand AI/ML concepts and how they can be applied to real-world business problems.
• You’re a strong communicator who can work across teams and influence stakeholders.
