The Team
The European Privacy Team, based in Dublin, London and Paris we are part of the wider TikTok Global Privacy and Regulatory Affairs team and we advise and support all aspects of TikTok and Bytedance Business in terms of data protection matters, GDPR and ePrivacy compliance.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced lawyer to join our European Privacy team, this role is a fantastic opportunity to advise on the intersection of AI law and GDPR. Responsibilities
- Partner with legal and business stakeholders and senior leadership to support on the build and implementation of regulatory requirements under the AI Act and accompanying AI legislation to ensure a global cohesive approach to regulatory compliance and to support product development and adoption;
- Senior lawyer advising on laws and regulations relating to responsible use of information, in particular the EU AI Act (and also the GDPR) with a focus on building an implementation and compliance programme for the EU AI Act globally;
- Advise the business on potential risks along with possible mitigations to ensure practical implementation of regulatory requirements;
- Support on regulatory engagement in conjunction with the Government Relations team;
- Liaising with regional and SME legal teams and product teams to oversee the build of relevant compliance mechanisms and operations related to existing and new products and feature reviews and to comply with relevant laws;
- Closely collaborating and coordinating with the product, public policy and communications teams on regulatory and policy strategies and external communication;
- Pragmatic and solutions-focussed and able to provide practical and strategic advice across global functions and products.
