As a Principal UX Designer on the AI Assistants team, you’ll shape the future of AI-human interaction through thoughtful, intuitive, and empathetic design. You'll be an indispensable individual contributor, modeling leadership in problem-solving, design craft excellence, coaching others, communicating your vision in a compelling, convincing manner to cross-functional partners and the leadership team, and delivering very strong work on time.



You'll Make an Impact By

  • Creating seamless experiences that help users effectively engage with our AI assistant across multiple touchpoints.
  • Defining best practices for AI assistant design frameworks.
  • Applying the Design Thinking process to collaborate with business partners, engineers, product managers and researchers by facilitating conversations, creating concepts, running design sprints, and building rapid prototypes to leverage the collective creativity and ship impactful products.
  • Crafting a user-centered design strategy that integrates business needs seamlessly while working with partners to determine a shared plan forward that balances business and technology considerations.
  • Creating and championing an experience that is highly usable before delivering pixel-perfect designs.
  • Owning activities and deliverables for multiple projects and engagements.
  • Actively soliciting feedback from peers and cross-functional stakeholders through the product design lifecycle.
  • Rapid prototyping and experimenting in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creating scalable experiences in partnership with our Design System team.
  • Efficiently organizing and adapting to changing priorities.

  • Experience designing end-to-end experiences for a product or service, from initial awareness through long-term engagement considering every touchpoint, transition, and interaction within the user journey.
  • A strong visual and interaction design aesthetic that ties brand expressions and systems thinking together.
  • A track record of shipping successful products in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • A strategic mindset to take the complex and make it simple.
  • Expertise to explore a variety of design ideas and iterate quickly.
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. You embrace constraints and the unknown; you enjoy discovering and defining the problem space.
  • Ability to motivate, influence and inspire teams and partners. You find joy in leading by doing. You foster and contribute to a good team culture.

  • Experience designing AI assistant features, including conversation UX frameworks, error states, and recovery patterns is a big plus.


Minimal Qualifications

  • Degree in HCI, graphic design, visual communication, Digital Design, Information Architecture, or similar and at least 7 years of experience in product design.
  • A fantastic portfolio.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Interest, if not experience, in AI or e-commerce domains.

Option 2: 7 years' experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
