Principal Consultant | Healthcare Payer

Role Overview

As a Principal Consultant focused on Healthcare Payers, you will be instrumental in shaping our consultancy approach within the healthcare payer domain. This role demands a blend of expertise in healthcare analytics, payer strategy, and client management, aimed at enhancing payer performance and optimizing patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Consulting and Client Leadership:
    • Serve as a consulting lead, owning and driving the success of our healthcare payer engagements.
    • Develop and implement sophisticated data-driven strategies to address complex challenges in payer strategy and patient care.
    • Build and maintain high-level relationships with clients, ensuring their strategic goals are met and delivering high-value insights that drive decision-making.
  • Analytics and Solution Development:
    • Utilize advanced analytics to develop frameworks and models that directly address client needs in the healthcare payer space.
    • Lead a team of analysts to deliver high-quality, actionable insights, ensuring alignment with client objectives and business strategies.
    • Proactively identify new opportunities for analytics applications within the payer sphere, driving innovation and strategic insights.
  • Client Engagement and Business Development:
    • Engage with senior stakeholders to understand their business challenges and tailor solutions that enhance payer performance and patient outcomes.
    • Drive business development activities, including proposal development and strategic sales initiatives, to expand our footprint within the healthcare payer industry.
    • Ensure the delivery of consistent, high-quality consulting services across engagements, enhancing our reputation as a leader in healthcare analytics.
  • Market Expertise and Thought Leadership:
    • Stay at the forefront of healthcare payer trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in analytics and technology.
    • Act as a thought leader, participating in industry forums, publishing papers, and delivering presentations that highlight our expertise and insights in the healthcare payer domain.
    • Develop and nurture a professional network that supports business growth and enhances our market presence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in healthcare consulting, with a deep understanding of payer strategies, healthcare economics, and regulatory environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and client relationships, with a track record of driving growth and client satisfaction in the healthcare sector.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and leading teams across diverse engagements.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel as required to client sites and industry events.
  • Certification in Healthcare Management or equivalent preferred.

Pay 

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $180,000 to $275,000.

Benefits

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a "free time" PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
