The Opportunity: PDRA in Machine learning knots. 

The job purpose is to perform research on Machine Learning (ML) of topologically complex polymers and molecules within Davide Michieletto’s TAPLab group. The post holder will contribute to drafting papers, writing grant proposals, and to present/disseminate results to conferences where appropriate. 

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working. 

The salary for this post is £40,247-£47,874.The post is fixed term for 2 years. 

Your skills and attributes for success: 

  • Ability to code at high standards and rigour. 
  • Theoretical and/or practical knowledge of machine learning and topology. 
  • Experience in writing scientific papers.
