Role

Protect AI is seeking a People Operations Manager to support and enhance HR, compliance, and office operations. This position will play a critical role in managing various operational functions, ensuring smooth processes, and fostering a positive work environment. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and global security and compliance partners.

Responsibilities:

  • HR Administration: Oversee end-to-end HR processes, ensuring smooth onboarding and offboarding experiences for new employees.

  • Payroll & Accounting Support: Manage payroll in partnership with an external payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Support daily accounting tasks, including invoice processing, expense tracking, and year-end tax filings, while working with external accounting partners.

  • Compliance Management: Collaborate with the global security and compliance team to ensure full adherence to local regulations and protect the company’s operational integrity.

  • Employee Support: Act as the primary contact for local employees, addressing inquiries related to benefits, company policies, and general HR questions.

  • Office & Culture: Contribute to office management efforts and actively promote a positive and engaging workplace culture.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience in HR, Operations, or Accounting: Proven experience in HR, operations, or accounting, ideally within a startup or fast-growing environment.

  2. Organisational & Multitasking Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage diverse responsibilities and priorities proactively.

  3. HR & Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of HR and Indian accounting practices, including payroll, benefits, and routine accounting tasks. Experience with relevant tools for managing these processes.

  4. Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork and interactions with external partners.

  5. Adaptability & Process Building: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, with a proven track record of building and enhancing operational processes in fast-paced settings.
