About Synthflow

Synthflow is redefining how businesses automate conversations using AI-native voice agents. Our platform allows companies to deploy natural-sounding, production-ready AI agents in minutes - not months - transforming customer support, lead qualification, and more.

We’re backed by the world’s best investors and growing rapidly. We’re building a lean, high-impact team to lead the next wave of voice automation. If you thrive in fast-moving environments and want to help shape the future of AI in the real world - let’s talk.

The Role

As our People Operations Generalist, you'll be a key part of making Synthflow a well-oiled machine behind the scenes. You’ll help deliver smooth and compliant experiences across the entire employee lifecycle — from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between.

You’ll work closely with our People and Finance teams, helping us stay organized, compliant, and human-first. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to learn fast, take ownership, and grow in a high-velocity tech startup.

What You'll Do

  • Support Global People Operations: Help manage employee processes across onboarding, changes, leaves, and offboarding — making sure things run smoothly and compliantly

  • Payroll Coordination: Work with our external payroll partners to prepare payroll data and ensure accurate and timely payouts across countries

  • Contracts & Documentation: Draft and maintain contracts, employment letters, and other key documents — always accurate, up to date, and legally compliant

  • HR Systems & Data: Keep our employee data clean, accurate, and well-organized in our HR tools (e.g. Deel)

  • Compliance Awareness: Learn and apply HR best practices across Germany and other European markets (you’ll have support, but curiosity helps!)
Process Improvement: Spot inefficiencies, suggest better ways of working, and help us build scalable, user-friendly workflows

  • Employee Support: Be a reliable point of contact for employee questions — friendly, clear, and always helpful

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to come into the Berlin office 3 days/week

  • 1-2 years of experience in HR, People Ops, admin, or a related operational role

  • Comfortable working in English; German proficiency is a strong plus

  • Basic understanding of employment processes or labor law in Germany (or eager to learn)

  • Experience using HRIS systems like Deel, Hibob, Personio, BambooHR, or similar

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail — you catch the small stuff

  • A proactive mindset — you're not afraid to take initiative and ask questions

  • Empathetic, dependable, and excited to support people across functions and countries

  • Eager to grow in a fast-paced, international, startup environment

Why Join Us

  • Work on a category-defining product with huge market potential

  • Be part of a small, high-ownership team and collaborate closely with the founders

  • Fully remote team with flexible working hours

  • Competitive compensation and meaningful equity
