Job Description
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely purchasing of materials, equipment, and services to meet - operational needs.
- Develop and manage vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality products and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
- Oversee logistics functions, including the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods.
- Optimize logistics operations for cost-efficiency, timely deliveries, and inventory control.
- Ensure the implementation of best practices in warehouse management, including proper handling, storage, and distribution of goods.
- Oversee the inventory management system, ensuring stock levels are optimized to meet operational demands
- Develop inventory control procedures, ensuring accuracy in records and timely updates.
- Implement and track inventory turnover and optimize replenishment strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operational staff across procurement, logistics, and inventory functions.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.
- Manage resources, including human resources, equipment, and materials, to meet operational requirements.
- Forecast and plan for resource needs to ensure capacity for growth and scalability.
- Develop and manage the operations budget, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management, ensuring cost control and meeting financial targets.
- Monitor and report on expenditures to ensure adherence to budget guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and industry standards.
- Identify potential risks within operations and implement mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with senior leadership to develop strategies that align operations with organizational goals.
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure clear understanding of operational requirements.
- Prepare regular reports on operational performance and highlight areas for improvement in procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for enhancing operational efficiency.
- Leadership Experience, preferably leading cross-functional teams or departments
Tech Skills required
- Familiarity with project management and process improvement methodologies preferred.
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning software preferred.
Preferred Qualification
- B.Tech/ B.E / Bachelor’s degree must.
- Master’s degree optional but preferred.
