We are seeking a skilled Natural Language Processing (NLP) Research Scientist to join our team. As an NLP Research Scientist you will be responsible for developing and implementing NLP algorithms and models that will enable our applications to understand and process human language. You will contribute to the development of cutting-edge NLP technologies and work closely with a team of talented professionals to provide innovative solutions.

In this role, you will be working on novel machine learning methods. You will also be designing and implementing NLP models, as well as monitoring and optimizing their performance. Additionally, you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and product managers, to ensure the successful deployment and integration of NLP technologies into our products. 

Moreover, you will be working on a 3-year project funded by the European Commission for developing cutting-edge technology for LLM-enabled dialog systems and collaborating with highly reputed European universities. 

The ideal candidate for this position is a highly motivated individual with a strong background in NLP and machine learning that can be proven via a publication record, as well as experience in building scalable and efficient systems. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends are also required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement NLP algorithms and models to process and understand human language
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate NLP technologies into our products
• Design and implement scalable and efficient NLP models that can handle large volumes of data
• Evaluate and improve the performance of existing NLP systems
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in NLP and machine learning (especially LLM-based)
• Conduct research and experiments to solve complex NLP problems
• Write technical documentation and provide guidance to other team members
• Publish NLP-related papers in top-tier conferences of the field

Requirements

• Master or (ideally) PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field
• Proficiency in Python, in deep learning frameworks (especially PyTorch) and the HuggingFace ecosystem
• Proven contribution in NLP research via publications in top-tier conferences or journals
• Working experience in NLP-related industry positions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (especially AWS) is a plus
