As a Motion Designer on the Brand team at Harvey, you’ll own how our brand moves. From polished product demos and cinematic hero films to scrappy reels from social channels. You’ll turn complex ideas into clear, precise, and memorable motion. You’ll partner with brand designers, producers, and product managers to ship best-in-class video, animation, and UI motion that elevate Harvey’s presence across all surface areas.
Create end-to-end motion pieces — concept, storyboard, animate, edit, and deliver short- and long-form video, social, and product UI motion
Be scrappy with existing assets — cut, remix, and polish footage from past shoots or stock to craft sharp edits without always needing fresh production.
Design hero animations for launches, campaigns, and OOH that reinforce our positioning
Maintain a motion system (timing curves, easing, component guidelines) that scales across marketing and product surfaces
Collaborate closely with brand designers, product designers, and producers to translate static designs into motion while protecting their focus
Prototype quickly to explore ideas, test treatments, and iterate with stakeholders
Optimize for multiple formats (16:9, 1:1, 9:16, 21:9) and outputs (web, social, broadcast, in-product)
Evolve our motion capabilities — prototype with new techniques, tools, and formats; run quick critiques and document learnings so we’re always trying fresh approaches and leveling up.

5+ years of motion design experience for brand, product, or agency teams
Expert command of your preferred motion & editing tools — our stack is flexible. Whether you’re fastest in After Effects and Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or something else, mastery matters more than the app. Supporting skills in vector/raster design (Illustrator/Photoshop or equivalents), Figma, and basic 3D (C4D, Blender) round out your toolkit.
Strong portfolio spanning product UI animation, explainer videos, and campaign work
Solid grasp of typography, layout, timing, and pacing within a strict brand system
Comfortable editing live-action footage
Ability to manage multiple projects, juggle timelines, and deliver crisp files under tight deadlines
Excellent communication—concise briefs, clear WIP updates, actionable feedback
