A Middleware Systems Administrator's duties involve installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting middleware software and systems, ensuring smooth application integration and data flow, and collaborating with development teams to optimize performance and security.

This TOR outlines the responsibilities, required qualifications, and experience levels for ERP Functional Analysts supporting multiple middleware platforms such Oracle Fusion and others.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational and deployment support for all Middleware services hosted on-premises and cloud
  • Design, install, configure and support Middleware infrastructure components
  • Perform environment clones, migrations and deployments to production environments
  • Perform patching, application upgrades, and manage/coordinate the platform upgrades
  • Support migration to and operation of Oracle Cloud and related cloud technologies
  • Implement and Manage Integration of middleware services with both on-premises and Cloud ERP, and related third-party applications
  • Assist in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of Middleware automation tasks using Ansible and other IT automation tools
  • Perform troubleshooting and performance optimization activities
  • Assist, plan, and conduct disaster recovery tests
  • Produce technical documentations and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform capacity management, and monitor, analyze and propose improvements to the middleware services
  • Perform support activities during planned maintenance windows outside of normal working hours when required
  • Perform other related duties as required

Junior Middleware Analyst

  • Participating in middleware testing and validation activities.
  • Supporting application integration, data flow and performance tuning tasks.
  • Providing first-level user support and troubleshooting basic issues.
  • Learning and developing expertise in middleware technologies.
  • Assist in automation of routine middleware tasks.

Middleware Analyst

  • Execute middleware testing and validation activities.
  • Ensure application integration, data flow and performance tuning tasks.
  • Demonstrate expertise in middleware technologies.
  • Implement and maintain middleware automation routines
  • Providing guidance to junior team members.

Middleware Analyst

  • Lead initiatives for improving all aspects of the middleware service.
  • Design and implement middleware security policies.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute middleware implementations, patching and upgrades.
  • Coordinate middleware activities with junior team members.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Oracle or other cloud certifications, Oracle Fusion Middleware certifications are a plus.
  • Extensive Orace Fusion Middleware administration experience, including upgrades and patching
  • Good understanding of one or more cloud services - Oracle (OCI), Amazon (AWS), Microsoft (Azure), Google (GCP), etc.
  • Familiar with Oracle Cloud products such as EPM Planning, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge and support experience in three or more of the following products (but not limited to):
    • Oracle WebLogic 12c, 14c and ADF applications
    • Oracle HTTP Server (OHS)
    • Oracle Flexcube (FLEXCUBE)
    • Oracle Data Integrator
    • Oracle SOA Suite components
    • Oracle WebCenter Suite components
    • OBIA environments configured with both Oracle E-Business and Oracle PeopleSoft
    • Oracle Access Management (OAM)
    • Oracle Identity Management (OIM)
    • Oracle Unified Directory (OUD)
    • Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
    • Oracle Hyperion (EPM)
    • IBM WebSphere

  • Experience in automating Middleware operational tasks
  • Good scripting skills using Linux shell, Oracle SQL and/or other automation tools
  • Experience with service management systems (ServiceNow or similar) and collaboration tools
  • Relational Databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Experience in integrating with Oracle Cloud products such as Taleo, EPM Planning, Oracle Integration Cloud, etc.
  • Experience in configuring SSO and integrating middleware applications with Active directory
  • Experience with Ansible or related IT automation tools
  • Basic understanding of operating system platforms (Linux, Windows), and networking concepts
