At Pacmed we develop world leading AI-based decision-support software for intensive care doctors. It’s a hugely exciting area where we’re breaking boundaries every day. We have currently implemented our software in our first ICUs, and we are currently developing new exciting features and prototypes, with the ambition to scale across the Netherlands and beyond. We’re looking for a Medical Doctor who’s available for 1-2 days a week, excited to support Pacmed in ensuring the seamless integration of AI-based clinical intelligence applications into the ICU workflow.

What would be expected of you
Interpret data by executing mappings and medical validation.
Perform research together with different disciplines in the hospital (doctors, application managers, BI specialists) with the aim to understand clinical, administrative and IT processes that generated the data. This understanding is needed to use the data responsibly for clinical intelligence apps.
Train doctors on the use of the clinical intelligence apps.
Maintain data set and medical concept definitions, mappings and medical workflow knowledge bases.
Help prioritize items on the hospital implementation backlog from a medical point of view.
Help formulate and execute a vision to improve the points above to enhance scalability.

You have a degree in Medicine (MD) and have at least 3 months direct clinical experience within ICU or anesthesiology department, which may also be during medical training.
You’re available for 1-2 days per week.
You’re fluent in Dutch and have strong communication skills to liaise with clinicians, data scientists, and engineers.

Affinity with AI and medical data.
Ability to identify and resolve data issues (which may be with the help of data scientists).
A proactive, problem-solving attitude.

Experience with different ICU-specific systems (e.g., EHRs, monitoring systems).
Data science and coding skills.
Familiarity with AI-based clinical decision support tools.
Familiarity with medical terminologies and standards (e.g., HL7 FHIR, SNOMED, LOINC).
