All employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit, and business need.Key Responsibilities:Data entry/superbill entry and submitting claims to various insurance companies.Working directly with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to get claims processed and paid in a timely manner.Pursue reimbursement from carriers by placing phone calls and documenting all communication in Medent EMR to ensure progress is made on outstanding accountsReviewing and appealing unpaid/denied claims, handling collection on unpaid accounts.Verify Patient benefits & record patient responsibility into EMRPost insurance payments (paper and electronic methods) into the EMRManage accounts receivable, medical billing, collections and postingCommunicate clearly and kindly to patients and staff to ensure work continues at an acceptable paceRequired Skills/Abilities:Minimum 2 years of AR/Billing experience in a healthcare settingExpert level knowledge with Medent (Will consider a successful track record of working with 4-5 other EMR’s in replacement of Medent experience)Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient excel or google sheets skillsGraduation from High School or equivalentEpic/Cerner Certification (Strongly Preferred)Medical Billing Certification (Strongly Preferred) Location: Buffalo, NY or Boston, MAHybrid: This role will require 3 days/week in the office, and 2 days remotely.
