About us:Daedalean is a Zürich-based startup founded by experienced engineers who want to completely revolutionize air travel within the next decade. We combine computer vision, deep learning, and robotics to develop full “level-5” autonomy for flying vehicles. Your role:To support mechanical engineering/technician tasks on our data recording and other hardware. This role is temporary and expected to last for 3 months.
Your responsibilities will include:
Basic soldering & using hot air gun for heat shrink
Computer disassembly, re-assembly and functional checks
Manufacturing data & power cables, preparing cables, crimping connectors assembling connectors, eg DB9, JST
Using Google docs and Google sheets for updating inventory documentation and general documentation of tasks
Inventory management - stock checks, add new stock items, order new stock items if needed, merge stock areas if needed, etc
Capable and willing to help move boxes in workshop, move cabinets if necessary, general workshop cleanliness tasks, sort tooling, etc
Willing to travel to off-site locations in CH on rare occasions would be a bonus, but not a requirement (Schindellegi, Grenchen, etc)
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Any avionics installation or repair experience on aircraft preferred
Any electronics repair or computer repair or assembly experience beneficial
Any relevant tertiary education certificate or diploma in electronics/avionics repair/installation beneficial
A team of experienced engineers and researchers, who joined us from most recognized companies and institutions.
