Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support.   Mechanical Engineer Job Description:   Mechanical Engineer support of electronics packaging, to include design, documentation, and fleet support associated with Antisubmarine Warfare programs. Success in this position requires an assertive, confident attitude and a commitment to working as a part of a team to meet critical delivery schedules.   Mechanical Engineer Required Tasks:   ·       Supporting the Mechanical and HW lead on electronics packaging designs, 3D modelling electronics into custom enclosures, system level solid modeling, assembly level solid modeling, piece part design, detailing the design, component selection, fasteners and material selection, and documenting the design through high fidelity 3D models, drawings and bills of material. Design challenges include optimizing constraints based on environmental requirements, cost, maintainability, as well as size, weight, and access restrictions. ·       Supporting conceptual, preliminary, detailed, and production support phases of the product lifecycle, through solid modeling and design, including manufacturing drawings, parts lists, cable harness design, and engineering change support. This includes trade studies, cost analysis, drawing generation and documentation release, and environmental qualification testing. ·       Specific details to generate accurate Bills of Material for full unit designs, testable kits, upgrade kits, delta kits, unit side installation kits, and spares kits, etc. Ensure manufacturing, test, and installation to customer teams have all necessary components for their phase of product implementation. ·       Supporting product release process, including documentation release and change management. ·       Supporting and generating presentation/documentation materials for program milestones, customer meetings, and weekly priorities. ·       Interfacing with other disciplines, such as Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Control, and Quality will be key to ensuring customer requirements are being met. ·       Iterating designs based on feedback from Structural and/or Thermal Analysis. ·       Support of Environmental Qualification Planning, Procedures, Test Support, and Test Reports.   Mechanical Engineer Required Skills:   ·       Experience with Design and Documentation of mechanical parts and assemblies including model-based design, drawings, parts list and manufacturing support material. ·       Experience in collaborative engineering environment and the design/ lifecycle process, including conceptual/preliminary and detail design stages, manufacturability, documentation, and build & test support. ·       Modeling experience in the following programs: PTC CREO. ·       Experience with the EPDM tool for Bills of Material, design release, and configuration management. ·       Experience with production support and Problem Reports/Change Notices in EPDM. ·       Geometric dimensioning, tolerancing and tolerance analysis.   Mechanical Engineer Desired Skills:   ·       Analysis experience in the following programs a plus: ANSYS Workbench (CFX, Fluent, Mechanical) FEMAP/ASTRAN.   Mechanical Engineer Additional Requirements:   ·       Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline and three or more years of related professional experience. ·       Must be U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance which means you must be a U.S. citizen.
