Position overviewOver the past year, we've achieved remarkable growth in our business impact, technology, and team. We are now seeking our first Marketing & Communications Manager to help us more effectively communicate our progress and value proposition. In this role, you will work collaboratively across all business verticals to craft and share compelling narratives about PhysicsX, our work, and our impact. This position is ideal for someone eager to build a marketing and communications function from the ground up in a fast-paced, friendly, and supportive environment.
What you'll do
Help articulate our overall story and value proposition in a compelling way, identify and implement ways to effectively communicate them to external and internal audiences
Work with teams across the company to push out a continuous stream of content in support of our story and value proposition (e.g., blogposts from technical teams, strategy whitepapers, academic publications, podcasts)
Produce highly quality visual content (e.g., photography, video, website content)
Drive key channels for external comms, such as our website and LinkedIn. Help with maintaining a steady stream of content across all channels
Shape our strategy for attending conferences & meetups from a Comms perspective. Work with teams across the company to effectively represent PhysicsX
What the ideal candidate looks like
3+ years of experience in communications, marketing or a related field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the role
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, ability to influence stakeholders across the company to achieve cross-functional objectives (prior experience doing these things in a start-up environment is a plus)
Ability to produce and/or edit high-quality digital content (e.g., blog posts)
Strong interest in technology and AI (prior experience is a plus)
