Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in operations, program management, supplier quality management and product development to join our dynamic tech company.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, comfortable with ambiguity and able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. With a desire to learn and lead in a technically challenging, fast paced environment, you will have exposure to all aspects of the business and contribute to the effectiveness of a high-performing technology company developing the world’s most advanced AI systems and services.

The Team

The Graphcore Quality Team delivers outstanding customer experience and champions sustainable excellence throughout Graphcore. We are responsible for customer, supply chain and product quality, as well as organisational compliance, governance and assurance. You will be joining a diverse team of experts in these domains based in our Bristol, Cambridge (UK) and Hsinchu (Taiwan) offices.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Be custodian of “The Graphcore Way”; our Integrated Quality Management System that describes how we do things
  • Work with suppliers and engineering teams as change management lead for our manufacturing processes
  • Facilitate APQP activities such as risk assessment, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and control plan development to proactively identify and mitigate quality risks
  • Create and maintain quality plans, ensuring conformance to customer specifications and internal standards
  • Provide assurance to Graphcore senior leadership team through a combination of assessments, audits and data analysis
  • Coordinate our global external audit program in collaboration with the certification body

Candidate Profile

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience in Operations, Product Development, Project Management, or Quality ideally in gained working in a fast-paced technology organisation
  • Great with people – with exceptional emotional intelligence, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Details? You love them - and understand the importance of delivering the right message, at the right level, in the right way, to have an impact.
  • Experience with ISO9001, 27001, 14001, or other recognised excellence frameworks
  • Experience implementing document management systems, version and change control

Desirable

  • Experience with APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning), FMEA, VDA6.3 audits and other product development quality tools
  • Experience in facilitating engineering and management teams through structured root cause analysis (8D, 5-why, etc)
  • Certification and/or experience in Lean and/or 6-sigma
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence etc..)
