As a Manager of Software Development Engineer in Test, you will ensure the quality and scalability of our Cloud Networking products. This involves leading the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks, processes, and tools. The team you will manage consists of SDET engineers across the US and EMEA regions.

As a Manager Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the development of test frameworks and CI/CT/CD pipelines validating Akamai's Cloud connectivity products.
• Contributing towards building the roadmap and test strategy for bringing enterprise features to market safely.
• Validating and testing networking technologies.
• Developing best practices, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
• Collaborating with engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Conducting periodic team member 1:1s and performance management feedback

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Possess excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Have experience leveraging CI/CD tools to achieve good software development practices
• Be familiar using infrastructure as code tools like Crossplane, Pulumi, Terraform or Ansible.
• Have experience with pytest or other test automation frameworks and comfortability leveraging Python or Bash for scripting.
• Demonstrate understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, IPv6, DNS, TLS, HTTP) and knowledge of Linux based operating systems
