We are seeking accomplished individuals with a strong grasp of data science algorithms and tools, alongside expert leadership, and communication skills to bridge the gap between technical specialists and business goals to enhance our diverse and seasoned data science team.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

•Lead a team of 8-10 data scientists, serving as both a technical lead and people manager.

•Design, develop, deploy, and maintain data science models using MLOps best practices and Agile-Scrum and CRISP-DM methodologies.

•Contribute to shaping the vision and roadmap for AI (Artificial Intelligence), data science, and advanced analytics function in alignment with the organization's overarching vision.

•Effectively communicate with the leadership and business stakeholders, elucidating how the function contributes to the organizational mission, including opportunities, limitations, and requirements.

•Drive impactful outcomes in a dynamic, data-driven, and high-growth business environment by introducing innovative ideas through rigorous analysis, models, and insights.

•Guide the team in solving business problems and provide technical mentorship; conduct frequent brainstorming sessions and stay abreast of the latest developments, maintaining hands-on expertise in AI and advanced analytics.

•Actively participate in data science and citizen analytics communities of practice, fostering networks with internal and external technical experts to identify and share solutions to common pain-points.
 

Qualification and Requirements:

•Bachelor’s Degree, Master's degree or Ph.D. in data science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).

•Strong problem-solving skills and a product delivery mindset.

•Excellent communication and presentation skills.

•Agile mindset and experience with Scrum project management and CRISP-DM methodologies.

•Substantial background in statistics, probability, and machine learning, with a solid foundation in data structures and algorithms.

•Ability and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment (project duration is typically 3-6 months).

•Proven experience of deploying and maintaining data science models in production.

•A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in data science and related fields.

•A minimum of 3 years of experience as a team lead and managing people.

•Proficiency and experience of working with the relevant technology stack such as: Python, R, SQL, Scikit-Learn, MLFlow, Spark, Git, NLTK, LLMs (Large Language Models), Keras, PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, AnyLogic, Simio, Pyomo, Gurobi, Cloud Services (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP), etc.

•Business acumen and domain knowledge in one of the following areas: upstream, downstream, gas and mid-stream, engineering and manufacturing, and trading and value chain.

•Expertise in at least one of the following areas: Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Optimization (mathematical and meta-heuristic), and Process Simulation.
 

Additional Preferred Qualifications and Requirements:

•Certified Data Science credential.

•Certified Scrum Master/Product Manager/PMI-Agile.

•Experience with AI/ML Ops.

•Experience with the Azure DevOps platform.
