Job Summary:
As our Manager, Business Development EMEA at AutogenAI, you will take the lead in driving the success of our high-calibre BDR team, currently at 14 talented BDRs and growing. You will coach, mentor, and inspire your team, creating a high-performance culture and implementing strategies to increase lead generation and conversion rates. In this pivotal role, you’ll be instrumental in our scale-up journey, collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and senior leadership to achieve and exceed ambitious revenue and pipeline growth targets.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Driving Team Performance: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing BDR team to consistently meet and exceed lead generation targets, ensuring a strong pipeline for the sales team.
- Sales Development Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales development strategies that optimise conversion rates and SQL growth, utilising industry best practices and innovative tools.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to align on target accounts, ensure smooth lead handoff, and drive cohesive go-to-market strategies.
- Coaching & Training: Conduct regular 1:1s, call coaching, and team training to enhance prospecting techniques, messaging, and overall sales development skills.
- Talent Acquisition & Retention: Hire, onboard, and retain top BDR talent, fostering a dynamic and growth-oriented culture within the team.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Monitor and analyze team performance metrics, providing regular insights and action plans to senior leadership to drive continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Leadership Expertise: Proven success in leading BDR teams, with a focus on coaching and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, SaaS or tech environment
- Sales Enablement Knowledge: Deep understanding of outbound sales strategies, pipeline management, and lead qualification processes, ensuring efficient and effective sales development efforts.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong ability to interpret performance data and apply insights to optimize processes and drive results, continuously refining strategies to improve team output.
- Coaching & Mentorship: Passion for developing people, providing ongoing feedback, and creating a supportive environment for growth and skill-building.
- Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration between cross-functional teams and inspire motivation and results within your team.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2+ years in a sales/business development leadership role, preferably in a fast-growing SaaS or tech environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of sales development, including lead generation and qualification strategies, and the ability to scale teams.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with sales engagement tools like Salesloft, Outreach, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Education: Relevant degrees or certifications in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
