What you'll do
Reporting to the AVP, Advanced Analytics and AI, the Manager, Applied AI will lead the AI Community of Practice, spearhead the delivery of AI projects, and support the growth and development of our machine learning and data science resources. The Manager, Applied AI will work with executive customer stakeholders to define use cases, translate use cases into specifications, quantify and track the business value, provide oversight to technical resources and data scientists to drive measurable business outcomes, and work across business and technical teams to promote AI solutions across the enterprise.
Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team of specialists in AI, machine learning, data engineering, automation, and solution design
Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and support to team members to ensure successful delivery of AI projects
Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on continuous improvement and excellence
Partner with various business units to identify opportunities where AI can add significant value. Develop use cases by understanding business needs and translating them into technical requirements and specifications
Validate the feasibility of use cases through prototyping, pilot phases and scale successful initiatives
Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout project lifecycles
Establish and run a robust Community of Practice for AI aimed at fostering sharing, collaboration, and advocacy within the organization
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or similar field; Advanced Engineering degree or MBA preferred
5+ years of experience leading projects with substantial exposure and involvement with AI, Machine Learning, data science & analytics using Cloud technologies (Azure, Databricks preferred) and in an Agile environment (preferably SAFe)
Deep understanding of fundamental AI/Machine Learning concepts with exposure to cloud technologies for same (preferably Azure, Databricks)
Ability to translate complex technical concepts to senior executives. Excellent storytelling, presentation & communication skills with keen attention to detail
Knowledgeable of industry standards & best practices
