The Video Computer Vision org is a centralized applied research and engineering team responsible for developing real-time on-device Computer Vision and Machine Perception technologies across Apple products. We focus on a balance of research and development to deliver Apple quality, state-of-the-art experiences. As a member of the Video Computer Vision group you will develop software solutions for exciting new technologies running on Apple's next generation hardware. We have contributed to the FacelD, FaceKit project as well as the LIDAR iPad sensor and Object Capture. More recently, this team was responsible for the majority of the computer vision algorithms use to drive the unique user experience on the VisionPro product. We are looking for the right computer vision software engineer to help us take our efforts to the next level.

Description


We are looking for a proactive computer vision software engineer to join our team and help design and implement software frameworks for 3D Computer Vision and Object Capture. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion to deliver high quality products and solve challenging technical real world problems. You will be responsible to leverage machine learning models and integrating them into Apple products to deliver ground breaking user experiences. Your job responsibilities include working along side computer vision and deep learning researchers to implement world class algorithms that pushes the state of the art and resonate with our users at a personal level.

Minimum Qualifications


  • BS Degree and 3+ years of industry experience
  • Proficient in C/C++
  • Object oriented programming and design skills
  • Experience developing reusable public or private APIs


Preferred Qualifications


  • Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 5+ years experience in software development for a shipped product
  • Comfortable working in a research and development environment exploring the unknown
  • Swift programming experience
  • Experience with acceleration on SoC and/or GPU
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self Motivated


Pay & Benefits


  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
