RESPONSIBILITIES

We at trinamiX have developed a novel 3D imaging system to improve the security of biometric face authentication, even behind OLED displays.  We use deep convolutional neural networks to distinguish human faces from spoof attacks.  Our customers are major players in the smartphone, automotive and other industries.  

• As part of the Biometrics team you will extend our existing technologies towards contactless heart rate measurement. This will enable our customers from the automotive industry to go the next big step towards autonomous driving. 
• You will design, train, evaluate and deploy deep convolutional neural networks for contactless pulse measurement (rPPG). 
• Moreover, you will conduct research on cutting edge deep learning architectures as well as training paradigms and develop new algorithms to advance the solution.  
• You will strategize data acquisition campaigns and conduct exploratory data analysis to train models that meet product requirements.  
• Furthermore, you will perform hyperparameter tuning, neural architecture search and quantization to optimize models for inference on embedded systems.  
• Last but not least you will communicate performance metrics and evaluation results to key stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science (Data Science/ML specialization) or in  a related technical field  
• strong Python programming skills and extensive hands-on experience with TensorFlow / Keras or PyTorch  
• experience with deep learning for image classification, segmentation and object detection as well as respective state-of-the-art architectures  
• knowledge in computer vision algorithms and with any of the following is a plus: C++, depth cameras and sensor data, multivariate statistical analysis  
• excellent communication skills and ability to explain solutions to complex technical problems clearly and concisely
