You’ll join in the young, enthusiastic Data Science Lab team within the AI Excellence Center of 25+ highly skilled and energetic colleagues. As part of the Advanced Analytics community, you’ll work closely with various specialists, including business stakeholders, domain experts, data engineers, software engineers, mathematicians, and data scientists. Together, we drive KPN toward becoming a truly data-driven organization.

In this role, you’re the driving force behind developing new technologies into building blocks for the whole company to build their AI use cases. You’ll use cutting-edge software and tools to ensure that these AI models not only work but are also scalable, reliable, and always available. Your daily responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining production-ready solutions to enable analytical models to generate insights from large volumes of (real-time) data.
• Operationalizing and integrating analytical capabilities into business processes, IT, and data platforms.
• Working on (Gen)AI projects which require you to be an independent contributor to our department.
• Ensuring the scalability, reliability, and robustness of data pipelines and solutions.
• Conducting in-depth research with domain experts and team members to understand business needs and impacts.
• Engaging in continuous collaboration with team members, domain experts, and business stakeholders to refine and implement the most effective solutions.

Functie-eisen

You’re eager to learn and flexible on a technical and personal level. You’re analytically strong and carry a strong sense of responsibility. You enjoy engaging both technical and non-technical colleagues in your work. To be successful in this role, you bring:

• At least 2 years of experience as an ML/Data/Software engineer or similar.
• Master’s degree with a technical component, like Computer Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.
• Knowledge of software engineering methodologies and best practices including coding standards, code reviews, version control, CI/CD, testing and security.
• Experience with Python – additional programming languages (and SQL) would be a plus.
• Experience with Azure and Infrastructure-as-Code – other cloud platforms would be a plus.
• Experience with ML libraries, REST APIs, microservices (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Proven experience building production-grade ML solutions.
• Affinity with implementation of Generative AI Applications.
