The Opportunity  

We are applying innovative AI and ML technologies to power digital businesses, helping companies design and deliver personalized experiences to their customers. Real-Time CDP Collaboration enables brands discover, reach, and measure high-value audiences without third-party cookies through advanced data collaboration between advertisers and publishers, with a focus on customer privacy.

We are looking for a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to build the foundational data management and query processing capabilities in RTCDP Collaboration, with an emphasis on supporting audience overlap, expansion and measurement operations interactively in a privacy-safe manner. As part of building these services, you will work with an exceptionally talented and collaborative team, innovate to design & implement statistical data representations, tackle complex data management & query evaluation challenges, and build highly performant services. 

What you'll Do  

  • Collaborate with a team of engineers & product managers in building privacy-safe data management and query processing capabilities.
  • Innovate in designing and implementing probabilistic data representations to support interactive queries.
  • Extend architecture and implementation to support newer class of collaboration queries.
  • Improve performance of systems to scale with evolving workload requirements.
  • Deploy production services and iteratively improve them based on customer feedback.
  • Participate in entire lifecycle including architecture, design, coding, reviews and validation.
     

What you need to succeed  

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • 8+ years’ experience in applied AI/ML to solve data challenges.
  • Deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and deep learning, with a track record of solving problems with these methods.
  • Experience in solving technical problems in data privacy and conversational systems is preferred.
  • Strong programming skills with extensive experience in Java or Python.  
  • Proven track record of innovation and sharing insights through publications and patents.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
  • Adaptable to evolving priorities, accepting challenges outside one's comfort zone and learning new technologies.  
  • Ability to think through solutions from a short term and long-term lens in an iterative development cycle.  

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $150,700 -- $284,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
