Location
Your regular place of work is Hamburg near the largest German production site for civil aircraft situated in Finkenwerder. Task description
Leading employees:
Disciplinary and professional leadership of the OT team
Responsible for employee recruitment (specifications of skills, qualification of candidates, integration), employee development and employee evaluation
Conducting development discussions, goal setting and other disciplinary tasks
Managing competency assessment and development within the team
Managing projects and partners relationship:
Collaborating with Airbus Commercial partners ensuring adequation between their needs and Airbus Protect Strategy
Ensuring compliance with plans and targets as well as initiating and implementing corrective measures in the event of deviations from the plan as well as measures for the early detection or prevention of risks
Creating budget, personnel and resource planning for the area of responsibility
Creation of required documentation and presentation of work results
Actively promoting and ensuring cooperation with transnational Airbus Protect teams
Supporting Airbus Protect Technical Office as Technical Leader:
To define the vision and strategy for the development of the relevant field(s) of expertise in alignment with business needs
To promote and represent the relevant field(s) of expertise internally and externally, this includes: internal and external working groups, regulatory organizations, and conferences
To ensure the implementation of knowledge sharing, knowledge capitalisation, and continuous improvement
Carry out learning paths, career paths and the identification of training for their CoCs
Required qualification
The work task requires knowledge and skills, as usually provided by a relevant, completed degree with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of Mechanical or Aeronautical engineering, or a standard period of study of more than 4 years and related extended subject-specific additional qualifications. The overall knowledge and experience required may have been acquired in other ways.
Skills and competences
Successful professional activity and proven leadership experience
Experience in an international environment and in dealing with customers and partner companies
Several years of professional experience in project management or sub-project management with experience in an international environment
Knowledge and experience in Aeronautics Engineering, R&T, Testing or Manufacturing Engineering
Independent, self-responsible working style, improvisation and organizational skills
Flexibility and sense of responsibility
Several years of experience either with mechanical, optical and electrical measuring or testing procedures is a plus
Very good written and spoken English skills
Strong communication and assertiveness skills, high degree of conflict resolution potential
Entrepreneurial and business-minded thinking as well as customer-orientation
Willingness to travel domestically and abroad
