Handshake is expanding into AI research and development, shaping a world-class network of expert Fellows—PhDs, researchers, and subject matter specialists—who contribute to cutting-edge AI through specialized research, model evaluation, and domain-specific applications. We’re looking for a Brand Designer to craft compelling narratives and visual systems that bring this work to life, ensuring our brand resonates with both technical experts and broader audiences.
This is a unique opportunity to define how AI innovation is communicated, translating complex ideas into clear, engaging experiences that connect with researchers, industry leaders, and the next generation of talent.
This will be at our San Francisco location and this team is traditionally in the office five days a week.
Your role
- Develop, write, and edit engaging scripts for educational and training content.
- Produce and edit short-form videos for learning modules, ensuring clarity and engagement.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create structured curriculum and course materials.
- Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and style across all content.
- Manage and optimize content distribution across platforms.
- Support the community and operations team by transitioning into engagement and operational tasks after completing the first round of course content.
Your experience
- 3+ years of experience in content creation, instructional design, or digital media production.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, particularly in scripting educational or training content.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Experience in curriculum development or learning experience design (a plus).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Bonus areas of expertise
- Experience with community management platforms like Circle.so, Disco, Slack.
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, data labeling, or model evaluation processes.
