We are seeking a dedicated Lead AI/ML Architect with a strong focus on architecture, design and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing CMS AI/ML solutions, guiding engineering teams, and working closely with product managers and other stakeholders. This role involves ensuring the successful implementation of AI/ML solutions to enhance money movement processing, and overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Guide the organization in the use of AI solutions to deliver top-tier commercial and money movement applications and services.
Work with product managers and other stakeholders to understand business needs, define AI features, and translate these into architectural designs and AI algorithms.
Develop and implement robust, scalable and secure AI/ML architectures.
Collaborate closely with the engineering teams to guide the implementation of AI/ML solutions.
Conduct regular reviews and optimizations of existing AI/ML models and architectures to ensure optimal performance.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to the AI/ML and engineering teams.
Keep abreast of the latest AI/ML technologies, architectural patterns, and industry trends to drive innovation and improvement.
Evaluate, develop, and deploy innovative technology solutions in the AI & ML space.
Develop architectural and technical documentation to guide the engineering teams during the development and implementation stages.
Support AI best practices through code examples and sharable components, frameworks and libraries.
Contribute to key CMS technology initiatives.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in AI/ML, architecture amd software development.
• Extensive experience in a similar role, ideally within the Payments industry, with a strong focus on architectural design, Generative AI and software development.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML and Generative AI algorithms, and their application.
• Experience with commercial and open-source large language models (LLM), popular machine learning learning platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, Tensorflow, PyTorch, Spring AI and similar AI/ML tools.
• Demonstrated experience assisting engineering teams in the implementation of AI/ML and Generative AI models in production environments.
• Proven experience with data processing, data pipelines, and ETL processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 163,800.00 to 237,550.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
