Introduction to role
Join our Data Analytics and AI (DA&AI) team within Operations IT to drive innovation in a leading pharmaceutical company. As the technical Lead, you'll oversee the technical delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with business goals. You'll leverage your technical expertise to lead and coordinate across various tech domains, including Data & Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, and AI, while working closely with stakeholders.
Accountabilities
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and delivery managers to define and drive the technical vision, ensuring alignment with product objectives and business needs.
- Maintain detailed technical designs, refine user stories, and manage technical risks and resource allocation.
- Lead and mentor technical teams (Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, etc.) and work with AI/GenAI leads to foster collaboration and innovation.
- Define and communicate governance frameworks for product development, including risk management and performance metrics.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and deployment processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data security, and industry standards.
- Direct DevOps and DataOps teams to ensure best practices in coding, security, and performance.
- Ensure data solutions adhere to FAIR principles to enhance usability and sharing.
Essential Skills/Experience
- 10+ years in data and software engineering.
- Deep expertise in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, and AI.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, DataOps, and product management.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices (GitHub Actions, Automation Testing).
- Proficiency in technologies like Snowflake, DBT, Kubernetes, and tools like Jira.
- Skilled in coding languages (Java, Python) and cloud services (AWS, Airflow, ECS/EKS).
- Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or similar large multinational environments.
- AWS Cloud or other relevant certifications.
