We're looking for an experienced Large Language Model Applications Engineer to help us evolve our core technologies and unlock new possibilities within our ecosystem. This is a unique chance to work with state-of-the-art AI, directly contributing to significant advancements in our foundational capabilities and how we build the future of audio tools. This role blends practical know-how in LLM design and integration with an interest in and understanding of music creation workflows. 

Responsibilities:

You'll research, evaluate, and integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into our technological infrastructure and tooling. This includes:

• Advancing information retrieval across our vast domain of knowledge.
• Innovating methods for content generation and summarization related to complex audio concepts.
• Developing intelligent systems that enhance how we understand and interact with data and expertise.
• Optimizing natural language understanding for sophisticated applications that underpin our technical operations.
• Designing effective prompt engineering strategies.
• Collaborating with engineering and data science teams to drive impactful technological solutions.
• Monitoring and iterating on LLM performance and ensuring ethical deployment.
• Staying current with the latest developments in LLM tools. 

Qualifications: 

• Proven experience with large language models. 
• Strong proficiency in Python and LLM application frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar). 
• Experience with model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, post-training, NLP pipeline optimization, and/or other LLM enhancement techniques. 
• Understanding cost/performance trade-offs when choosing LLMs. 
• Experience working with smaller, efficient LLMs for edge deployment. 
• Familiarity with music production workflows and terminology. 

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 
• 3+ years in LLM product integration work. 

UA Salary Range/Hourly Rate of Pay:  California Salary Range = $155K - $175K

Base salary/hourly rate of pay will be based on the cost of labor for the city/state in which the new hire resides, at the time of hire.
