Key responsibilities:

1. Inbound Package Management: 

• Receive and inspect incoming packages for damage or discrepancies. 

• Record and organize deliveries, ensuring proper documentation and accurate tracking. 

• Notify appropriate team members about package arrivals. 

• Distribute incoming packages to the recipient or forward them to correct office or laboratory locations. 

1. Outbound Shipment Management: 

• Prepare packages for outbound shipments, including proper packing and labeling. 

• Create and manage shipment labels using the company’s logistics software or courier systems. 

• Ensure packages are dispatched on time and meet shipping requirements. 

• Track outbound shipments and resolve any delivery issues with carriers. 

1. Communication and Coordination: 

• Provide shipment updates to users, including delivery status and expected timelines. 

• Coordinate with service teams and laboratories to meet specific shipment requirements. 

• Serve as the primary point of contact for couriers and shipping companies. 

1. Logistics Process Management: 

• Maintain records of all incoming and outgoing shipments for audit and reporting purposes. 

• Co-work with Logistics Specialist to ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies. 

• Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving area to ensure efficiency and cleanliness. 

• Record the goods in NetSuite ERP system in the correct inventory location. 

• Make sure the correctness of the inventory. 

1. Packing and Packaging: 

• Select appropriate packaging materials for goods to ensure safe transit. 

• Handle fragile and sensitive items with care to avoid damage during transportation. 

• Replenish packaging supplies and maintain an inventory of essential materials. 

1. Problem Resolution: 

• Investigate and resolve shipment issues, such as delayed or lost packages. 

• Manage claims for damaged or missing items with carriers, as necessary. 

1. Process Improvement: 

• Propose and implement improvements to the shipping and receiving processes. 

• Identify cost-saving opportunities for shipping and logistics services coordinating with the Logistics Specialist. 

1. General Support: 

• Assist office and laboratory staff with logistics-related requests. 

• Handle ad hoc tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management as required. 

Qualifications:

• Professional working proficiency in Dutch (Speaking and writing)

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

• Experience with shipment tracking systems and logistics software. 

• Knowledge of packing and shipping standards, including international shipping. 

• Good communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

• Problem-solving skills to address shipping and delivery challenges effectively. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Previous initial experience in logistics, shipping, or a similar role. 

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and ERP systems such as NetSuite.
