Job Title: Junior AI Prototype / Software Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated AI Prototype Engineer to join our Venture Discovery & GenAI team at Körber Digital. This role is pivotal in developing rapid and efficient prototypes with a strong focus on AI technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, creativity, a 'hacker mindset', and a passion for staying ahead in the fast-evolving AI landscape. They should be comfortable in a dynamic, agile work environment and excel at creative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the team’s Senior Product Manager in scoping new AI prototypes
• Develop and iterate AI prototypes rapidly, ensuring they meet the team’s objectives and vision
• Apply DevOps best practices, including the use of Docker and hosting of low-scale applications, to streamline development and deployment processes
• Utilize Python programming language effectively, with proficiency in libraries such as Langchain, Pandas, and Streamlit
• Integrate various APIs to enhance prototype functionalities and interactions
• Exhibit expertise in Large Language Models (LLM), leveraging their capabilities in prototype development
• Implement testing best practices to ensure reliability and performance of prototypes
• Maintain high standards of code quality
• Actively stay informed of the latest developments in the AI field, continuously integrating new insights and technologies into prototype development
• Act as a sparring partner to the team for technical questions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in developing AI prototypes
• Strong knowledge of DevOps best practices, including experience with Docker and application hosting on Azure or AWS
• Proficient in Python and familiar with libraries such as Langchain, Pandas, and Streamlit
• Demonstrated experience with API integrations
• In-depth understanding of Large Language Models (LLM) and their applications
• Experience with Hugging Face
• Dedication to writing clean maintainable, while balancing the trade-off between fast development and efficient code
• Eagerness and curiosity to keep up-to-date with advancements in AI, related technologies and the ever-changing landscape of new tools
• Willingness to work in a multidisciplinary and entrepreneurial team

Preferred Qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Science, STEM, or related field
• Previous experience in a fast-paced and/or entrepreneurial environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic company
