Position Description:
Initiates stock control cards and details nomenclature, unit issued, balance and liaises with the Engineers and Supervisors to establish maximum and minimum bin level quantities. Prepares Purchase Requisition orders as minimum bin levels are reached and expedite required spare consumables as work schedule dictates. Establishes a complete physical inventory register for all furniture, cabinets and items not either Biomedical or Plant Services asset register and maintained items. Implements and controls property transfer forms and location records for all items included on the register. Coordinates and supervises the day-to-day spare parts and requirements of Facilities Management Service.

•Implements, oversees, and operates an effective file system and keeps the hospital-wide furniture inventory up to date.
•Organizes work effectively to meet given deadlines.
•Manages time to ensure availability.
•Conducts Engineering Sub-store inventory and reports accordingly with line item results.
•Ensures regular updates of other Support Services Department clerical staff duties to be able to cover for absence.
•Implements Sustainable Practices/Policies in Facilities Management's operations.
Position Qualification:
•High School Graduate
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
•Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Healthcare Organization's maintenance department or similar institution
•Knowledge of basic computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
•Knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) standards
•Skills in trade training in a wide range of cross-trade activities
•Ability to read and write English
