The Opportunity

We are the team of the Point-of-care process development in Mannheim and implement manufacturing  processes and process controls on our own-designed special purpose production machines. Our teams consist of members with different backgrounds, varying years of experience and technical expertise. We develop cutting-edge manufacturing processes and technologies for the next generation of immunoassay test and would like to push the limits of technical possibilities together with you within your internship

Your Key Responsibilities will be

  • analysis of problem settings (e.g. wear and monitoring of mechanical and electrical parts) within the field of process engineering using data-driven and statistical methods and modeling big data time series, image/video object detection and AI-models.

  • data acquisition by automating hardware and sensors in PoC pilot machines, data processing, presentation of results 

  • support in the further development of methods and techniques for productive application of big data analysis, machine learning and AI 

  • Conceptual design of digital twins of our manufacturing lines

Who You Are

You are enrolled or have completed your Master’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of data science, physics, technical computer science or mathematics within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months and getting to know the pharmaceutical industry.

Furthermore you are

  • you are experienced in creating data based models and performing time series analysis

  • profound programming skills in Python (Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib) is required as well as machine learning languages like Tensorflow, Keras or PyTorch

  • Preferably you have gained experience in AI applications in an industrial environment (MLOps), computer vision systems, predictive maintenance or digital twins
