Job Description

• During your internship, you will become part of an innovative and agile team and contribute your knowledge of Machine Learning (ML) with a focus on transformational models in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Named Entity Recognition (NER) in the context of industrial applications.
• You will take over, maintain and further develop an existing machine learning program for anonymizing internal departmental data. The program is based on a transformer model (NER) and is trained with a proprietary data generator.
• Furthermore, you will secure that our ML models are accessible as a service via pipelines in an Azure cloud environment.
• You will work closely with the team and advanced interfaces to ensure your issues are technically documented and information is shared quickly across the organization.
• Finally, you will work largely independently and actively. The exact areas of responsibility will be flexibly adapted to your experience, wishes, and abilities during your internship.

Qualifications

• Education: studies in the field of Computer Science, Data Science or comparable with advanced basic studies
• Experience and Knowledge: in Transformer models with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Named Entity Recognition (NER); Python and ML libraries such as PyTorch; some experience with cloud environments, preferably Azure and Databricks
• Personality and Working Practice: a person with structured and responsible work ethic
• Languages: good in German and English

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 months
