Job Description

At Continental, we leverage data-driven insights to solve business problems and deliver innovative solutions. Our team is passionate about harnessing the power of data to drive decision-making and enhance customer/user experiences. As an intern, you'll work alongside experienced data scientists and engineers to contribute to impactful projects. You will be assigned a task for the duration of your internship from the various topics covered by our Data Science team, which include demand forecasting, computer vision, and more

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions.
  • Support experienced data scientists in analyzing complex datasets, developing models, and testing hypotheses.
  • Work on demand forecasting projects to predict future trends and improve operational efficiency using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Apply computer vision techniques to analyze and extract insights from images, videos, or other visual data.
  • Clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to uncover patterns and insights.
  • Develop, evaluate, and refine predictive models, ensuring they meet performance metrics.
  • Document workflows, methodologies, and findings to contribute to organizational knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or R, with experience in libraries such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn.
  • Basic understanding of machine learning and statistical modeling concepts.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Tableau) is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and version control systems (e.g., Git) is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
