About this role 

Associates will apply computer science programming and principles to develop a computer program that will support sales and engineering by fact-checking important, relevant, high-risk aspects of a project by combing through thousands of scanned documents and engineering tools to identify key factors that may have a cost implication to project estimates.

Must be an out-of-the-box thinker, problem solver, the road less traveled pioneer, interested in working on a project that could potentially change how Automated Logic approaches reviewing and bidding complex projects across various markets: healthcare, higher education, K-12, complex process, and laboratory facilities.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Learn basic principles of engineering construction projects, master specifications, and design documents, as these are the documents we will be extracting information from.
  • Work with sales and engineering to identify the key components to extract from the documentation.
  • Develop a program that can comb through 1,000s of pages of documents to flag important information relevant to bidding complex building automation design/projects.

Required Qualifications 

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Knowledge of architectural and engineering division specifications, drawings, and customer standards. (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to create/develop a computer program (or leverage AI components) to comb through design documents (project specifications, drawing templates) to gather specific data points, verify required information, and/or identify key information for estimating purposes.
  • Requires advanced knowledge obtained through a University degree, combined with experience
  • Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs, or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work
