We are strengthening People Data & Analytics team with a leader to grow the team, design and create environments to facilitate production grade ML/AI solutions and increase analytical depth of our work. 

  

About our team   
  

This leader role belongs to People Data & Analytics, a full value chain team in Group People composed of teams and specialists focusing on data engineering, privacy, governance, and applied analytics. We are seeking a head of People Analytics & Data Science team serving senior management and leaders in Nordea and in Group People. 

You will be leading a cross-border team of data analyst, scientists and regulatory reporting specialists. You as a leader play a key role in developing and supporting your team members to reach their aspirations and unleash their full potential.

What you’ll be doing  
  

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Lead the team of specialists and, through your team, develop and pursue people data analytics agenda (incl. tools and advanced models, tactical and operational dashboards, narratives, and data insights) to steer and support business decision-making and to help realise stakeholder unit strategies
  • Act as an analytical partner for strategic and tactical stakeholders within Group People and Business Areas/Group Functions, building the culture of trust and impact
  • Build processes and solutions for people analytics, integrating machine learning and GenAI solutions efficiently into a regulated environment
  • Ensure compliance with the EU AI Act and internal requirements and regulations for ML/AI models training and deployment
  • Contribute to strategic people initiatives across the organisation 

Who you are  

This is the right role for you if can simplify complex analyses into clear insights, actionable conclusions, and recommendations. You should be skilled at connecting people across the value chain, comfortable to grow junior team members and effective in delivering solutions through others.


We expect you to be strong in logical thinking and cross-organizational communication. We need you to be able to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and create business value through data products and processes. We hope you have a genuine interest in unlocking the value of data in the people management context.  

  

Your background and skills include: 

  • Academic degree in mathematics, data science, engineering or economics or another relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience in data science and analytics in practice 
  • Experience in leadership with demonstrated ability to grow junior team members 
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English (professional level)
  • Experience in creating processes and technologies to oversee analytics processes and deploy ML/AI solutions 

It would be ideal if you also:

  • Have previous experience in management consulting or other similar advisory roles to senior leadership is considered an advantage
  • Have an experience in working with people data
