Reporting to the CEO, The Interim Head of HR's role is to
lead the Human Resources function on a temporary basis, ensuring the
establishment and effective implementation of HR policies and
strategies that support the company’s goals and objectives.
This role involves managing all aspects of HR, including
recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and
compliance with local labour laws, as well as fostering a
collaborative and collegiate culture across the organisation. The
Interim Head of HR will work closely with senior management to
address HR needs and provide strategic guidance on people-related issues.
Being part of a dynamic and fast-paced organisation, the Interim
Head of HR must have strong leadership skills and the ability to
quickly adapt to changing circumstances. The role requires both a
strategic as well as hands-on approach to managing HR functions and
a deep understanding of best practices in human resources management
across the Middle East and India, where a large proportion of the
company’s operations are and will be.
The role has the potential to evolve into a permanent role as the
business matures and grows, this status will be reviewed after 6 months.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishing, developing, leading and managing the HR
department, providing guidance and support to the senior
leadership team.
Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives
aligned with the overall business strategy and vision.
Overseeing the recruitment and selection process to attract
and retain top talent.
Managing employee relations, including handling grievances,
disputes, and disciplinary matters.
Managing outsourced HR-related teams.
Implementing performance management systems to ensure
employees meet their goals and objectives.
Ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations, and
managing HR policies and procedures in the UAE, KSA and India.
Coordinating employee training and development programs to
enhance skills and performance.
Conducting regular HR audits and assessments to identify
areas for improvement.
Managing the HR budget and ensuring effective allocation of resources.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with
employees, management, and external partners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business
administration, or a related field.
A master’s degree or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
Certification in human resources management (e.g., SHRM-SCP,
CIPD) is a plus.
Requirements
Minimum
of 7 years of experience in human resources, with at least 3
years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of managing HR functions in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Experience with HR software and tools.
Knowledge of the industry and market trends.
Previous experience working in a technology company is a plus.
