We are looking for an innovative and strategic Head of AI & Automation to lead the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven systems and automation solutions across our digital marketing operations. This is an in-house leadership role, responsible for transforming how we utilise AI and automation to drive efficiency, creativity, and improved outcomes at scale.

You will take the lead in creating intelligent agents and tools, collaborate with department leads to assess needs and roll out solutions. This is a hands-on, senior role suited to someone who can think strategically, deliver effectively, and generate measurable business impact.

  • AI & Automation Strategy:
    • Develop and own the company-wide roadmap for AI and automation initiatives.
    • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and tools, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Act as the internal subject matter expert and custodian of AI & Automation knowledge.
  • System Implementation:
    • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI systems: design, implementation, and testing.
    • Develop and deploy intelligent agents and automation tools to optimise workflows and enhance decision-making.
    • Create scalable solutions to support both current operations and future growth.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks within processes across departments.
    • Design automation-led solutions to improve productivity and outcomes.
    • Monitor, evaluate, and refine systems to ensure they continue to deliver value.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Creative, Data, and Technology teams to understand challenges and introduce solutions.
    • Support departments with the adoption and integration of AI-driven tools.
    • Educate and upskill internal teams on the effective use of AI and automation technologies.
  • Leadership & Representation:
    • Establish internal best practices and ensure ethical and responsible use of AI.
    • Keep abreast of industry developments, innovations, and relevant regulatory changes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience and background in development and automation - background of 5+ years
  • Proven experience in implementation of AI software/agents/tools, or building of purpose-built platforms
  • Leadership/management experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML frameworks, natural language processing (NLP), and intelligent agent design.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering enterprise-grade AI solutions from concept to deployment.
  • Confident working with stakeholders at all levels and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to translate complex business challenges into practical, AI-led solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and collaborative skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with generative AI technologies (e.g. GPT, image generation, prompt engineering).
  • Familiarity with MarTech and AdTech platforms.
  • Previous experience in a scaling digital marketing agency or similar fast-paced environment.
